Network Events
Check back soon for updates on the next Network Event.
In our last Network Event in March 2025, we focussed on what is happening pre-trial within family courts. The CPS guidelines focus currently on how to support victims of crime within the criminal justice system, but how do the guidelines apply within the family courts?
Across the country, in our training spaces, we are hearing a lot of worrying practice about how pre-trial therapy and information sharing is being used to damage families ability to heal and be safe after experiences of trauma. We want to hear from you directly about these experiences so that we can support policy work currently taking place across sectors to improve practice within family courts. We considered the challenges of working pre-trial within the family court space.
Who the network events are for
The network event is a multi-agency space, designed to support professionals from key agencies supporting victims, alleged perpetrators, and families within the criminal justice process regardless of offence type, as well as independent practitioners. This includes: all therapy services (statutory, voluntary, independent), advocacy services and specialist services (e.g., ISVA, IDVA), social services, the Police, CPS and Judiciary.
